Windows 10: Windows 10 Mail not showing pictures

    Windows 10 Mail not showing pictures


    It was working well even after doing an in place upgrade to the new build\Creator's Update, but since today the images won't load, just red X. The option about downloading external images is enabled.

    windows 10 mail client messages & pictures not downloading from frontier.com

    I use windows 10 mail client. emails from frontier.com and email just show " messages & pictures" are downloading but never do download. Been thru windows 10 mail settings and settings show "show / download remote content" I get the full message content
    from Gmail. Thanks Linda

    Pictures not showing in Mail app

    After reading 3 years worth of problems with Windows mail, I decided to switch to another email program. Hope this helps!

    Resetting the the mail app worked. Forgot to update the post, sorry.

    Go to Windows Settings, then Apps. There find Mail and Calendar and Advanced Options-->Reset

    It will reset the app and erase the email accounts, but you will not have to reinstall Windows and adding the accounts to the mail app client is easy now.
