    Windows 10 makes Open File function, Microsoft Word Massive, Too Big To Fit Screen.


    Pretty much as the title says, when I choose "Open File" the window that appears is MASSIVE, so that I can't even access the top to move it around, nor reach down to the "Open" or "Close" buttons on the bottom. This happens with Word as well, where the content is just TOO LARGE.


    Searching the web, it seems there are THOUSANDS of people having this problem, for YEARS, yet I have haven't found any solution that works for me. Really makes me want to abandon Windows altogether.

    microsoft word 2003

    I have a lot of ms word files on my pc. But one of them showed me an error - Getting unknown error messages while opening (.doc) or (.docx) files. I don't know how to open my word file or repair microsoft word. Any suggestions, guys, please.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Is it just one file, or all your word files?

    With the exception of Outlook, I have yet to find a reason to stop using Office 2000, 2003, and 2007. They open all the latest files just fine, and they work just fine.
