Windows 10: Windows 10 Media Creation Tool throws an error at 96%

I'm trying to get a new PC built, and I bought a copy of Windows 10 Home Edition to complete my build. One problem, though.

I downloaded the Media Creation Tool on my laptopwhich also has windows 10 and I'm trying to make a fresh install go onto an 8Gb flash drive, but right when it nears completion, it throws this error code: 0xC180010C - 0xA001B


I've searched troubleshooting, but this error isn't logged, so I am afraid I don't know what this code means, or how to fix it.

Windows Media Creation Tool Error 0x80070079-0xA001A

Your USB thumb drive needs to be at least 8 GBs.

The error code 0x80070079-0xA001A means that the tool doesn't have permission for it to run. For us to assist you, we suggest that you
follow the simple steps listed below:

  Right-click on the Media Creation Tool.exe.

  Press Properties.
  
• 
  Click on General.

Window 10 Media Creation Tool errors with 0x80070456 0xA0019

I am trying to use the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB flash drive but am getting an error message. It seems download the files successfully but fails part way through transferring the files to the USB drive.

The error message code I get is "Something went wrong ... 0x80070456 - 0xA0019"

The steps I take are

1. Run the program
   
2. Accept the license conditions
   
3. Choose "Create installation media for another PC"
   
4. Language "English (United States)", Edition "Windows 10", Architecture "64-bit (x64)"
   
5. Choose "USB flash drive"
   
6. Choose the USB flash drive from the list
   

I am running Windows 10 Professional. The USB drive is 64Gb.
