Windows 10 media doesnt see any of my uploaded CDs

Windows 10 media player doesn't see any of my uploaded CDs. Groove and Spotify does see them and play them. However I synch my auto 4 and 5 stars playlist with my phone and usb for the car. So how can I get windows 10 media player to see my CDs and resurrect my auto 4 and 5 stars

    :)

  3. Music Files from CD to PC

I used my old windows 7 computer as an external CD player to upload my 30 music CDs for transfer onto a thumb drive. I simply copied them into the "My Music" Files in Windows 7. But they are unrecognizable when I plug them into my car's USB port.

I copied them onto my Windows 10 Surface Pro 3, but they don't play there either. And they are not in recognizable in the Media Player either on Windows 10.

Is there a way to convert those files to a proper format without having to upload them all over again into my media player? I don't see an option to "Rip" on either the Windows 7 or Windows 10 Media Player.

    Thanks,

    Linda S.

Thanks. I don't think it helped but I did subsequently notice that the 'organise' tab in windows media player has a 'apply media information changes option', which, when clicked, searched for all the CDs that I had uploaded under Window 7. Problem solved. My problem with Microsoft is that its a very obscure wording AND must be a common issue with all of those upgrading to 10 who had previously uploaded their CDs, and yet there is no MS guidance on this.
