Windows 10: Windows 10 Media Installer fix (For Canadians)

So I figured out how to actually get the broken Windows 10 Media Installer fixed. Apparently all you have to do is just change your System Locale settings to English(United States).*Doh

I was so dumbfounded when, after 3 hours of trying to get the damn thing to work, all I needed was to just simply change my System Locale.

3 HOURS WASTED, FOR A SIMPLE FIX!!!!!!!!!

Is there a way to make English the default input method without uninstalling other languages?

I seem to have found a method. I had my settings at Canadian English. That was defaulting to Chinese input (!?).

I changed to US English input and rebooted, then I changed to Canadian English, and I was able to specify that it is the default (before I could not).

I then rebooted again and I have it working.

Thanks for your time. I would recommend that the install be fixed so it does not do this with Canadian English. Also have a look at Windows 10 - it really is quite different

Unwanted input languages in Windows 10? (only found in the language bar, not in system settings, cannot remove)

Hi, I just recently upgrade to Windows 10, I found that it automatically added Canadian English & Canadian Multilingual input methods to the language bar.

However, I only have English (US) installed, and under English (US), I only have US QWERTY keyboard installed.

Where did this Canadian English come from? How do I get rid of them??
