Windows 10: Windows 10 - Media Player 12

Cannot burn disc's or upload due to this message running most of the time "Retrieving media info for an unknown album" I have uninstalled and reinstalled, turned off features restarted.....I have done everything and done it right. Nothing works. I have even deleted unknown CD's in my hard drive that didn't have all information. Looks like my WMP12 is still corrupt. I have a lot of music missing and also music on my playlist in WMP. The names are there but not the music. I had a guy from Cannon help me because I couldn't reach Microsoft. I don't know if he caused a problem or not. My printer an

and from the last link is the same error where you can just disable it too =)

 

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

Not to my knowledge

As of now I suggest you to run Windows Media player settings troubleshooter and check.

Ran Windows Media Player

Looked under every setting I count find, could not find Troubleshooter options

Follow the steps below:

• Type in the search bar Troubleshooting and from the search result select
  troubleshooting.

Typing Troubleshooting in the Search Bar takes me to Windows Help

This implies I should not be ripping the CD

But it finds a CD in the USA, which is not my Australian CD and it will rip a couple of tracks



My problem is changing the Media Database (my words) from USA to AUS.

I feel sure it used to be something I could do in XP (it was just too good) and Win 7.
