Windows 10: Windows 10 messed up icons/blank squares after trying to change the font.

Hello, I changed the default font of Windows 10 1-2 months ago, when I restarted the clock icon was messed up, and a lot of the icons showed up as blank squares.

I've restored some of the fonts but, some of the icons still appear as blank squares.


From that time I've been searching for an answer online, on the Microsoft site, on YouTube but I couldn't find anything.

I hope someone replies to this, I want to get my icons fixed as soon as possible, because it's just weird without the icons.

Windows 10 Make icons/font bigger

Hi guys,

I have the Zoltac ZBOX-AD04 PLUS connected through HDMI with a 32"inch TV and i can't see the icons/font at my bed. I want the icons/font bigger.

 

Change the font of my desktop icons

Windows 10 make it easier for you to personalize your computer by going to the Settings app. Some options from Control Panel has been moved to the Settings app just to bring all the settings under one roof.

To change your desktop font, you may follow these steps:

• Go to Settings.
  
• Choose Personalization.
  
• Select Themes.
  
• Under Themes, select Theme settings.
  
• On the left pane, click Change desktop icons.

To change the font size of the icons on your desktop, refer to these steps:

• Right-click on your desktop.
  
• Click View.
  
• Select the font size you prefer for your desktop icon.

Icons appear as a white square

Have you been adding or removing any fonts on that system recently?

Those blank squares are usually shown as Symbol Fonts, you can see them in the Character Map.

Press the WinKey+R to display the Run dialog, type
charmap and press OK. This will open the
Character Map.





Press the down arrow at the top of the windows to display the
Fonts list. Scroll down and select the Segoe UI Symbol font. Scroll down and take a look at some of those symbols. You will see these symbols being used extensively in Windows 8x and 10.

If any of these fonts are removed or replaced with a different font, you will see those blank squares.
