Windows 10: Windows 10 Microphone Playing Only static.

Hello All.For the past two weeks i have tried, but failed, to fix a static noise issue i have been having with my mic. Issue: Constant static noise coming through mic when I listen to it. I Have Tried: Ensuring that my microphone was enabledTurning all of the enhancements for the microphone off Ensuring that my microphone is being detected it isUninstalling the microphone drivers then restarting the computerCompletely uninstalling then reinstalling the microphone driversAny help is greatly appreciated. If you need system specs i will be more then happy to provide them.

Microphone producing constant static!

Hey, I have a PC Windows 10, 64 bit which I recently got about a month or two ago. I have a headset which has a microphone that was working perfectly fine a few days or a week ago. Suddenly, the mic stops working and starts producing an obnoxious static
sound which is constant.

It doesn't detect my voice or anything other than the constant static. The Microphone listed in Sound, then recording is 'Realtek High Definition Audio'. Please help! I've tried everything to fix the problem but it's not working!!!!

I've tried to uninstall and update the Realtek driver for it. I tried to reinstall the Microphone through Device Manager. I've tried to troubleshoot the Mic by troubleshooting the Recording Audio in 'Hardware and Sound' but it doesn't troubleshoot the static!!!

Please HELP!

 

Static microphone recoding doesn't accept any input - Windows 10

It's an Acer Aspire E5-571P.

Where would the "line in" setting be? There's one audio jack on the laptop, that's it, so that's what it's plugged in to. I don't really know how long this has been going on as I just ended up switching things around. I'm also not sure where the "levels"
setting you're referring to is.

None of the steps in "fix microphone problems" are relevant to the issue I'm having. The microphone is correctly selected as the input device but records a continuous input of heavy static (even with a dead quiet background) and does not seem to pick up
any actual sounds. I just get the same static noise no matter what. Adjusting the microphone volume seems to adjust how loud the static is, but nothing else.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
