Windows 10: Windows 10 mobile hotspot feature causes frequent DNS errors

After turning on windows 10 mobile hotspot feature on my lenovo flex 3 laptop, i get very frequent DNS resolution errors in all my web browsers. I am using the latest windows 10.


searching on this forum many people are having the same problem so i'm aware that the feature is just buggy. is this something that microsoft is aware and trying to fix? I wish there would be a public bugtracker we could use to report bugs to microsoft instead of the "feedback" feature that is mostly ignored unless you have a few million reporting the same.

dns error after turn on mobile hotspot on windows 10

I'm using intel AC7265 with ryzen 1600x + b350 motherboard. no matter how I set the ipv4(ip & dns) manually on all of my network adapters ( lan & wifi). After I turn on the mobile hotspot in windows 10 setting, both my hotspot PC and devices connected to hotspot
are unable to connect to internet, and troubleshooter shows dns error. my game which used IP connect method works fine thu. I have tried updating the driver, it does not help.

• Are there any error messages when you're connecting to the hotspot?
• Did you try disabling and enabling the feature then try connecting your devices?
• Have you done any troubleshooting steps?
