Windows 10: Windows 10 Mouse Lagging

Since we are all on the same type of acer system, I am currently in a live chat with Acer trying to see if they know about this aswell. They have told me that they are aware of this problem and that they are going to email me later today.

 

Acer sent me a BIOS update, which did nothing except reset my dual boot.

They are now telling me that they do not have a solution to the problem, they are currently updating all their drivers to be compatible with windows 10 and should have them all finished by the end of this or next month. For now they told me to downgrade to windows 8.

 

I found the issue!
It was related to a Realtek Program named FMAPP.exe.

Stopping it in Task Manager and excluding it from starting at Boot solved my issue and it leads to no Sound issues or similar things, so it's no problem to exclude it from boot.

I had no issue since 2-3 days now, so that seemed to be it

i have this file on my computer, but i dont see it running
nor is it in list of startup programs

 

i have r7-572 as well
let me know if you encounter it again and solve it

 

Do you have the lagging issues as well?
If yes maybe try to rename the file and reboot, as it sometimes is executed by other processes as well it seems.

Funny coincidence that we all have the same notebook model

 

So, my computer just rebooted after an automatic update (ugh), and the problem is back.. I don't have a process called FMAPP.exe, so I'm going to be trying other things now *Sad

 

I just manually installed the Aug 5 Realtek HD Audio Driver manually (using the 'Have Disk') method, to force it, and FMAPP.exe appeared in my process list. Upon terminating the process, the mouse lag disappears. Will keep experimenting and reporting back here.

 

i went to realtek and got the latest driver, its dated june 18th 2015. installed it. now i have the FMAPP.exe running
killed it, and so far temporarily no lag. but we would need to stop this from running again somehow right?
