    Windows 10 mouse problem

Hi everyone, I am new to this so going to try and explain it the best I can. I recently built a gaming pc using the parts below, and it all works fine apart from the mouse. It really doesn't feel right, it's as if the sensitivity keeps jumping and when (for example) you drag the cursor from one side of the screen to the other it keeps jumping and getting faster and slower as if the computer keeps freezing or is running really slow and laggy, but it isn't as the mouse does this all the time no matter what I'm doing and the performance of the computer is really good apart from the mouse obviously. I have tried cheap Dell and Lenovo mouse's and my 50 Corsair wired gaming mouse and they all do exactly the same thing and I have tried them in my old Lenovo M58p desktop and they work perfectly fine in that so it must be a fault with my pc. I have also tried adjusting all of the mouse settings such as the mouse sensitivity and nothing seems to work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Windows 10 mouse problem :) specs: MSI B450 carbon pro gaming ac, Ryzen 5 3600, Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 3200Mhz, Asus AMD Radeon RX560 OC 4GB, WD blue 1tb HDD, PNY CS900 120GB SSD. BUILD NUMBER: 19042.928

    :)

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

i've seen this when the stock USB drivers went kaput. Only ever seen it once - i used a PCI USB 2.0 card and connected the mouse and keyboard to that, and manually updated the USB 2/USB 3 drivers.

    Windows 10 Mouse Problems

There's a possible answer in the Windows 8.1 forum at the thread Primary mouse button resets after reboot Restores some faith as the person who answered
is a Microsoft person. That restored faith severely taxed for this being an 8.1 problem that goes back at least 2 years and somehow made it in to the next major revision.

This issue might occur due to corrupt mouse settings.

I would suggest you to make sure that the mouse settings are enabled on the Startup tab.

    Follow the methods:

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to check if the mouse software is running at the Startup or within the startup list. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows+R keys and type “msconfig”. Hit Enter.
    • Go to Startup tab and locate the mouse software (could be Unifying software). Check the box besides the mouse icon and click on OK.
    • Make the required changes for the mouse setting (swap mouse buttons) and then restart the computer.
Check if that fixes the issue. If not, proceed to the next method.

    Method 2:

Let’s make the required change to swap the mouse click settings from registry and check if it resolves the issue. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows+R keys and type “regedit”. Hit Enter.
    • Navigate to the following location:
    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Mouse\SwapMouseButtons

    • Change the key for SwapMouseButtons from ‘0’ to ‘1’.
Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added
protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, you can refer to the following steps to back the registry files on the computer:

    • Press Windows and R key to open the run box.
    • Type ‘regedit’ and press Enter from the keyboard.
    • Open the File option on the menu bar.
    • Click on Export and save the file with a name on the desktop.
    • If you want to restore the file, you can do so by double clicking the file that you have saved on the desktop.
    Restart the computer.
