    Good Day,

    I actually have a computer with an OEM Windows 10 Home, I try to make the upgrade to Win 10 Pro, with two licenses that I bought, an OEM license and a Retail license, but I receive in both case messages telling me that It was not possible to do it and the system is giving me an error code 0x800704ec (which is relative with Windows Defender), but I disactivate Windows Defender, but I still have the error code.


    So now, I would like to install Windows 10 Pro on another partition and also another Windows Pro on another partition to switch that one to a Windows Insider Preview (I already have an Insider version in a VMWare Virtual machine, but I would prefer to have it on a physical drive).

    So, I have my original Win 10 Home OEM activated with a numeric licence (originally it was a Windows 8.1 installed on that computer) and have both license for Win 10 Pro OEM and Win 10 Pro Retail.


    I would like to have your comments on what will be the best procedure to install those two Win 10 Pro on my SSD. I have a real good idea how to proceed, but I would need to have your comments to be sure that I would don’t mess up.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
