Open notepad (Start =>All Programs => Accessories => Notepad). Please copy the entire contents of the code box below. (To do this highlight the contents of the box, right click on it and select copy. Right-click in the open notepad and select Paste). Save it in the same location as FRST, and name it fixlist.txt

Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt) please post it to your reply.

Now restart, let it boot normally and tell me how it went.

You have two DCOM errors you can fix these error by following my instructions below.

    1. Open Regedit.
    2. Go to HKEY_Classes_Root\CLSID\*CLSID*.

Note: *CLSID* stand for the ID that appears in your event viewer error. In your case, it's {D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160}.

    3. Right click on it then select permission.
    4. Click Advance and change the owner to Administrators. Also click the box that will appear below the owner line.
    5. Apply full control.
    6. Close the tab then go to HKEY_LocalMachine\Software\Classes\AppID\*APPID*.

Note: *AppID* is the ID that appears in your event viewer. In your case it's {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276}.

    7. Right click on it then select permission.
    8. Click Advance and change the owner to Administrators.
    9. Click the box that will appear below the owner line.
    10. Click Apply and grant full control to Administrators.
    11. Close all tabs and go to Control Panel --> Administrative tool.
    12. Open component services.
    13. Click Computer, click My computer, then click DCOM Config.
    14. Look for the corresponding service that appears on the error viewer.

Note: For this step, look for the one that appeared at the right panel of the RegEdit. For example, the AppID Registry (316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97) contains the "Immersive Shell" Data with a (Default) as a name. Now look for "Immersive Shell".

    15. Right click on it then click properties.
    16. Click security tab then click Customize in the Launch and Activation permissions section. Click Edit. Click Add. Add Local Service. Then apply.
    17. Tick the Local Activation box.

    Do the same for CLSID
    {D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160}
    and APPID
    {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276}

THe first one in component services "Immersive Shell" where i need to click edit in the Launch and Activation Permissions... All of it is grayed out... Matter of fact the only one not grayed out is the Edit in Configuration Permissions.

PS: here is the previous Fixlog.txt file:

Well after a team viewer session with "FreeBooter" and use both scratching our heads at permission issues he suggested I do a windows 10 reinstall straight from inside windows itself so i used the media creation tool to reinstall windows and that ended with a critical error and now im back to this crap still being crap, lol.

I dont know what to try next. Here are some logs of that install

    http://www.337studios.com/setupact.log

    Anyone have any ideas?

Ok, I realized what I should have known... Every windows 10 update or install I've ever done, I had to make sure none of my Midi musical keyboards were plugged in at the time of install and wait until its finished to plug them back in. Same issue with this one. BUT, i am now in windows 10 latest update and im still having the same problems. I can not open Task Manager at all, I cant install Google Chrome nor can I install Dropbox, amungst other smaller things that I cant remember at this moment. Its just making me want to say screw a computer. Or save up my money to get a mac. (which would be probably never because I am now a disabled Veteran and you dont get much at all for that. ;-( anyone? I need a life line.Ahhh, id do anything, trade services?

  13. Windows 10 - Multiple Errors Not allowing me to run most stuff

    Hi Skettalee

Sorry hear repair update did not resolve your problem i think its time for you to clean install Windows 10 or reset Windows 10 which will not delete your personal files. You can reset Windows 10 from Settings --> Update & Security --> Recovery.

Yes but that will not work either, remember I had done that already, this was not the first time or even the third time in the past 4 days that I have started over. I had already atleast once reinstalled windows while formatting my system drive, deleting the partition and actually formatting the drive so that option was tried already. All of that is why I’m starting to lean more on this being some weird , silent and annoying type of virus that I could possible have. Is there some other methods I can try to scan through everything I have (6+ Hdd’s) to see if their isn’t something malicious there somewhere other than Defender, Adaware, or even AVG to figure out what the heck is wrong? At this point it is ONLY (that I can find sofar ) DropBox, Google Chrome & Wacom Tablet Preference Software that are still effected and I can’t get them installed and working.

  15. Malwarebytes' scanner
If this program is already installed: Skip the installation and run only the scan!
Download and install: Please download Malwarebytes' scanner to your desktop.

    • Double-click mb3-setup-consumer-3.x.x.xxxx and follow the prompts to install the program.
    • Click Finish.
    • On the Dashboard, click the 'Check for Updates' button.
    • After the update completes, click the 'Scan Now' button.
    • A Threat Scan will begin. Please allow it to progress through the scanning process.
    • When the scan is complete, if there have been detections, click Quarantines Selected button to allow the program to clean what was detected.
    • In most cases, a restart will be required.
    • Wait for the prompt to restart the computer to appear, then click on Yes.

How to get logs: (Export log to save as txt)

    • After the restart once you are back at your desktop, open Malwarebytes once more.
    • Click on the Reports tab > Scan Report. (if you have done more than one scan in the past, select the most recent that shows the Date and time of the scan just performed. Press View Report button.
    • Click 'Export'.
    • Click 'Text file (*.txt)'
    • In the Save File dialog box which appears, click on Desktop.
    • In the File name: box type a name for your scan log.
    • A message box named 'File Saved' should appear stating "Your file has been successfully exported".
    • Click Ok
    • Find the log on your Desktop and Attach that saved log to your next reply.
