Windows 10: windows 10 - multiple startup apps not listed in either msconfig nor task manager nor...

as per the subject I have several applications that are on auto startup, which is not desired. They are neither listed in Task Manager startup nor in msconfig system configuration --> in fact nothing is listed in system config under startup it is blank entirely even though there are a multitude of startup apps.


I have only 2 programs listed in startup in task manager and in C: under the given path in subject, which are not the apps I want to disable.


And; no, another user profile does not solve the issue nor is that in any case a valuable contribution for a solution proposal as per the answer of the support in previous discussions link.


some of the apps I do not want to startup which are not shown anywhere in the 3 described approaches are:

Epic Games Launcher

Viveport

Substance Painter


hence the Question: why is windows 10 not showing them? And how can I disable them?

Windows 10 - cannot add exec to Startup in Task Manager

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. I am trying to add an exec to the startup list but Win10 will not accept it. The exec runs successfully on my Windows 10 machine if I start it manually.

Steps I've taken: Task Manager, Startup Tab, File>Run New Task. (browse to location, select.) It will start immediately, but does not show up on the list to autostart, nor does it start on reboot.

Any suggestions?

 

How to stop IE Opening at Startup when it's not on the Startup list in msconfig/Task Manager

My office updated to Windows 10 last week. Ever since then, Internet Explorer has been opening at startup.

However, when I check "msconfig >> Startup >> Task Manager >> Startup tab", IE is NOT one of the programs listed, so there's nothing to uncheck.

I also checked the Internet Options in IE, and can't find anything to change there.

If Internet Explorer isn't a startup item, why is it automatically opening windows when I first turn the computer on?

More importantly, how do I stop IE from opening at startup?

 

Can't remove items from Task Manager-Startup

When I was using windows 7 , I was able to delete an item from startup list ( MsConfig-Startup), using this Registry path:

But on windows 10 there's no a such path.

( I don't want to disable , but to completely remove from Task Manager - Startup )

How can I do it?
