Windows 10: Windows 10: my Skype icon on the taskbar is hidden

Hi,I'm using Skype and I've turned on in the 'Select which icons appear on the taskbar' dialog Settings/Select which icon appear on the taskbar. After some day this setting are turned off by Windows and I have to enable again. It is very annoying to select it in every day. Is there any fix? I'd like to keep the Skype icon always in the taskbar area.I have a laptop, I have the latest windows updates

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

To address your concern, follow the steps below on how to show hidden icons on the taskbar.

• Open Settings, and click on the Personalization
  icon.
• Click on Taskbar on the left side, and click on the
  Select which icons appear on the taskbar link under the Notification area section on the right.
• Turn on Always show all icons in the notification area at the top

Battery icon missing from Windows 10 taskbar

I attempted to follow your steps however, the battery icon "on" switch is grayed out. Do you have any other suggestions?
