Windows 10: Windows 10 NETGEAR Compatbility

Is Windows 10 compatible with a NETGEAR WNR3500L Wireless Router?


Recently acquired a Windows 10 machine. Trying to access the router from the Windows 10 machine. Router does not recognize the ethernet adapter on the Windows 10 machine. Ethernet adapter works otherwise. Router firmware is current. NETGEAR Support is not specific enough for me to interpret the answer on the NETGEAR end. But, it appears a NETGEAR WNR3500L v2 is compatible with Windows 10 and a NETGEAR WNR3500L v1 is not compatible with Windows 10.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

NETGEAR A6200 GENIE WILL NOT OPEN AFTER WINDOWS 10 UPGRADE

Method 1:

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall NETGEAR A6200 and check if it helps:

Follow the steps below to uninstall the program.

• 
  Right click on
  start menu.
  
• 
  Select programs and features.
  
• 
  Under program and features select
  the software which you installed.
  
• 
  Right click on
  uninstall.
  
• 
  Try reinstalling it again.
  

Method 2:

I also suggest you to install the NETGEAR A6200
drivers in compatibility mode and check if it helps:

To install in Compatibility Mode, follow these steps:

a. Locate the executable file (.exe file) for the driver installation program.

b. Right-click the file, and then click Properties.

c. In the Package Name Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.

d. Click to select the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box, click Windows 8 with which it is compatible with in the Run this program in compatibility mode for list, and then click OK.

e. Double-click the executable file to start the installation program.
