Windows 10: Windows 10 Networking - abomination --XP connects FINE !!!!

Hi there

Why is it W10 networking is so random --sometimes a machine just fails to connect even though it seems identical to the rest of the network.

I'm still running a "Venerable" old XP system (as a VM) that has ZERO problems connecting --and even sharing with 10 TB drives -- that size of HDD was not even in the imagination when XP first came out but works fine !!!.

How to connect Windows 10 to an existing network consisting XP and Windows 7?

I have a network connecting one XP and two Windows 7. The network has been working fine.

I'm having trouble with my network since I have bought a windows 10 PC, my network consists of mainly win XP PC's, and have no problem connecting them, but windows 10 cannot see the win XP PC's on the network, but all the win XP PC's can see each other and
the new Windows 10 PC, ,

On my win XP pc(s) I can see all connected PC's (including the new win10 PC ) within the 'view workgroup computers' .. but when I look for connections from my win 10 PC within 'Network, only the actual win 10 PC shows ( none of the rest of the networked
PC's ,,, I have turned on 'Turn on network discovery' and also checked the box 'Turn on automatic setup of network connected devices' within win 10, but again no PC's show up in the network window....

I would of thought if win XP can see all the computers, it must be something wrong with the win 10 OS
