    After a features update on Wednesday reset something I have lost the ability to access my network of 6 desktop machines all running Win Pro 64 bit, Before the update I could push files between machines using file explorer using drag and drop, Now four of the machines don't appear on the network on other machines BUT one machine they all appear as if its become a network server BUT I HAVE NOT INSTALLED ANY SERVER SOFTWARE.

    In the days when we had HOMEGROUPS every thing was fine THEN Microsoft took away homegroups without asking us and left us with nothing to replace it.

    COME ON MICROSOFT GIVE US BACK A SIMPLE HOME NETWORK SYSTEM THAT WORKS!!!!!


    SO can any body work out what was altered by Microsoft on Wednesday to stop these four machines from appearing on my network, All have sharing set up for their drives, the network troubleshooter cannot find a problem on any of the machines, I have reset all networking on the machines Twice and still they will not appear in the explorer of each other But will appear on the No 1 machine.


    PLEASE HELP FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON

    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
