Windows 10: Windows 10 never finishes going to sleep, crashes/shuts off after a while

Bit of a head scratcher... I use the same applications and workflow all the time, and I usually put the computer to sleep so everything is ready to go. However, recently -- I'd say end of Nov / beginning of Dec 2020 -- sleep mode has stopped working properly. When I select Sleep, my screens turn off, and my mouse and keyboard no longer seem to have input. The HDD light flashes once in a while, so it's doing something. However eventually it just shuts off completely as if I went to shut down. Anything I had open says wasn't shut down properly, so there was clearly a crash of some sort.


I am unable to solve the problem, so I'm looking for help in determining the issue. I really enjoy using the sleep option, I'd rather not have to reboot each time or leave the computer running full power overnight just to save time opening apps.

When close lid during shutting down, PC go into sleep.

I've got a problem (or a feature ? Not so sure) that when I finish my work, I shutting down my laptop, while waiting it to be shut down, I close the lid.
The problem is when I close the lid, the laptop go into sleep mode, and when I back to work, I open the lid to press the power button and it resume the 'shut down' process.
This hasn't happen before, any suggestion ? Many thanks

Windows 10 - my computer shuts down instead of going to sleep

My computer just started shutting down rather than going to sleep. This happens if I put the computer in sleep mode, or if I just step away for the computer for 20 minutes (the length of time I have set for it to go into sleep mode) -- in both cases the
computer completely shuts down and all the windows or documents I had open are closed.

It's an ASUS, Windows 10.

I saw some questions about this and tried their suggestions - I checked my Power & Sleep settings, they are all correct. I also followed multiple pages' advice to remove the Intel Management Engine Driver (because it was likely outdated) and download the
most recent version. The only problem is, once I've downloaded the new version, my computer says that it's "not supported." The version I downloaded was "Intel Management Engine Driver for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10" which says it's compatible with Windows
10 and 64-bit operating systems, which mine is. Any advice about where to go from here?

 

windows 10 does not go to sleep or shut down

cant put windows 10 to sleep or to shut down...when I do select either of tht PC just restarts but dos not shut down or go to sleep PLEASE HELP
