Windows 10: Windows 10 no access to any network , ethernet or wifi. Settings will not allow changes.

I am not sure where to go for this issue.

I have windows 10 on 2 pc's and one laptop in my home. All using my microsoft account. All devices are working fine and accessing the internet except one PC.


This PC will not allow me to access internet via ethernet or wifi.

It is giving me the initial message of "something went wrong with your pin".

It will not allow me to change anything in settings or let me create a local account.

The PC seems to work fine offline, but no internet access.

It looks like my firewall is down but I can not turn it back on in "settings"

configure two network type wifi public and Ethernet private


Hello,

I have two network adapters in Windows 10 one wifi for connecting to internet and one Ethernet for local network.
I need to configure wifi adapter to public network and Ethernet to private network but i can't.

Inverse it work ( wifi to private and Ethernet to public ) but I don't need that.
(only wifi adapter have option to be discoverable by others pd in Network Settings -> advanced options )


I need to share files by Ethernet AND NOT by wifi.

Any suggestion?

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
Step 2:

Expand it (Network adapters).


Step 3:

Select your network adapter


Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.




Step 6:

Then select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.



Step 7:

Now choose the “Manufacturer’s drivers” from the list of two and then click next.



Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.



Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

Step 1:

Open command prompt.
Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
netsh int tcp show global
then hit enter.
Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs

 

configure network to use WIFI for LAN/Print and Ethernet for internet

HI, I am a newb to the forum this is my first post.

My network topology is Comcast Modem>Switch>Wireless Access Point

My Win 10 Desktop is connected to the switch for Internet Access.

The network printer is connected to the Wireless access point.

I would like to keep using the wired Ethernet adapter to access the internet as it has 20% faster download speeds and use the WIFI adapter to connect to printer. However, when I connect to the WIFI connection, Windows 10 defaults the internet connection to the WIFI adapter. Note the WIFI and Ethernet adapters are both connected at this point.

I see that users used to be able to configure this setting by going to ControlPanel>NetworkandInternet>NetworkConnections>Ctrl>Advanced. This destination no longer allows user to assign preference to internet connection order.
