  1. Windows 10 no longer accepts any users' passwords, restart doesn't change this

I administer a family member's computer. There are 3 separate accounts on this computer, 2 require a password and one requires a passcode pin. None of the accounts are allowing access to the machine. In the case of the pin, no numbers appear in the dialog box when you type numbers, so it isn't even that the pin is wrong, it's that it doesn't even respond to keyboard input.Furthermore, if you use the mouse to attempt to restart the computer at the login page using the restart button, this button does nothing. No response. After restarting the computer manually using the reset button, nothi

  2. Changed my Microsoft account password but windows login keeps accepting old password

    Hi,

I have a Microsoft account (to be specific, it's a Passport account. I created it with a gmail account) and I recently changed my password and activated two-step verification with Microsoft Authenticator app.

The new password works perfectly in any web page, but doesn´t work when I try to login in my notebook. Windows login keeps accepting old password, and doesn´t accept the new one.

Am I doing something wrong or this is some kind of bug?

    Thanks.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

Windows 10 no longer accepts any users' passwords, restart doesn't change this

Windows 10 won't accept current Windows Live password

I have a PC running Windows 10, I've had the computer for about a year.

I had no login requirements, until a recent update, when it started requiring my Windows Live account password.

I recently (after I had to start using Windows Live to log in) changed the password. The first few times I used it, it worked fine with the new password.

Now, it no longer accepts the new password, but instead only accepts the old password before the last change.

I verified that my Windows Live password is correct, but the login won't accept it, just the old password.

This happened after a power blip, so I restarted the computer again.

It still won't accept the password.

I also went into Settings to try to change the login requirements, and it won't let me. I tried to switch t a local account, it tells me it couldn't be changed.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
