Windows 10: Windows 10 no longer available after installing Ubuntu

I have a Windows 10 partition /dev/nvme0n1p2 with 383 GB allocated and I recently installed Ubuntu on a separate partition /dev/nvme0n1p6 FAT with 256MB allocated and /dev/nvme0n1p7 Ext4 with 111GB allocated. After installing Ubuntu, Windows does not appear in the GRUB loader menu. How do I go about recovering and booting Windows 10? When installing Ubuntu, it did not recognize that Windows 10 was already installed. Using Disks Utility, I can see the Windows 10 partition is still there. I can even access the folders/files on that partition from Ubuntu. I just can't boot Windows 10. I've tr

Fedora, Ubuntu, and SuSE Linux Available from Windows Store

It seems people here missed the fact that WSL with Ubuntu has been available for almost a year now and are surprised, when SUSE and Fedore have been added to the list.
Only difference there is that Ubuntu will install directly from the Store, I assume, without the need to turn on dev mode, add Windows feature and so on.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 installing progs

I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to windows 10 from 7. I used the Media Creation Tool from MS website. It took awhile, but I am finally running Windows 10 (12-14).

I opened the new App & Program feature to remove programs that I no longer needed. Scrolling down the list, I was horrified! Apps that I didn't install somehow magically installed themselves. Two programs stood out: Facebook and Candy Crush Soda Saga. Both programs have those tale-tale icons that they came from Windows Store (which I've never even opened). The install date for both of them were on 12-26.

Is this a common thing for Windows 10? Or is it because I did an upgrade and not a clean install?
