    Windows 10 no longer hibernates or sleeps?


    I've been working on this for awhile now, and nothing I have found helps. I generally like my PC to hibernate or sleep if I am not going to want to use it for hours. Windows 10 no longer does either. I've been trying everything I have found on Google, but nothing so far has helped. So what could I try?

    Sleep and Hibernation

    I have Dell Latitude E6410. The sleep and hibernation function worked extremely well under Windows 7. I have upgraded to Windows 10 and it no longer works. I can manually put computer into sleep/hibernation but it will NOT automatically do it after specified
    period of time. I have checked all my power settings and they are correct. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    There are many possible reasons for this hibernation and sleep not working issue. The most common causes are
    corrupted Power settings or outdated display drivers. In order for us to efficiently assist you with your concern regarding the issue of waking up from sleep/hibernation, we just have a few questions for you:

    • Have you made any recent changes to your computer prior to the issue?
    • Did you get any error messages upon waking up your computer from hibernation/sleep?
    • Have you also tried performing the power troubleshooter?
    If you still haven't, we suggest trying the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + W and type Troubleshooting.
    • Select Troubleshooting and click on System and Security.
    • Click on Power and follow the onscreen steps.

    Delete the current power plan and create it again.

    My Windows 10 PC will no longer sleep or hibernate?

    My (64 bit) Windows 10 desktop PC will no longer sleep or hibernate.

    Instead, it shuts down completely.

    How can I enable sleep and hibernate?
