Windows 10: Windows 10 no sound

I have no sound in Windows 10. The same system box works with Windows 7 Ultimate and Linux. I have gon through everything on windows 10 sound fixes and still have no sound. I used the windows help and it hit a dead end , and told me to contact Microsoft for more help. About that time a program decided to reboot so I have no idea what to do.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
