I normally use ethernet so I'm not sure when this happened but I can't see any wifi connections on my PC. I can see plenty on other devices phone, tablet etc. I'm using a tether on my phone to post this so the service is fine, something is up with the PC.At first I couldn't even see a wifi option in the notification area. I checked the WLAN AutoConfig service was set to start automatically. It was NOT. After setting this to auto and restarting this I was able to see Wifi in the notification area unlike before and can see the 'no available wifi networks message there'.Things I have tried: - A

Wifi network not appearing after recent Win 10 monthly patch

Someone else on another forum suggested I switch the wifi freq on my Android Nexus 5x. So I switched it from 5ghz to 2.4 and it worked! Problem solved. Now my Nexus hotspot is again appearing in my Win 10 list of available wifi networks. So problem was with Android and not Windows.

    No wifi networks Windows 10

    Hello Pete,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are not able to connect to a wifi network after upgrading to Windows 10.
We appreciate your efforts in troubleshooting the issue and providing us the detailed information about the issue.

This issue may occur if unsupported VPN software is installed in Windows 8.1 and is present during the upgrade to Windows 10. Older software versions contain a filter driver (the Deterministic Network Enhancer) that is not upgraded
    correctly.

    Method 1:

Registry disclaimer: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the
registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

Please take a backup of the registry. Follow the steps given in the link below:

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

I suggest you refer and follow the steps mentioned in the KB article and check if it resolves the issue
Computer that has VPN software installed can't detect wireless network after upgrading
    to Windows 10

Method 2: Make sure your router is set to broadcast the network name.

      1. Connect your PC to the router using an Ethernet cable.
      2. Open a web browser and type the IP address for your wireless router. (For example, 192.168.1.1 or 172.16.0.0—check the documentation for your router to find the default IP address.)
      3. Sign in with your user name and password, then make sure an option labeled Enable SSID Broadcast, Wireless SSID broadcast, or
something similar is turned on. This setting is often on a Wireless Settings page.

    Method 3:

If the issue persists, I suggest you refer and follow the suggestions on how to

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
