Windows 10: Windows 10 no wifi networks found

I normally use ethernet so I'm not sure when this happened but I can't see any wifi connections on my PC. I can see plenty on other devices phone, tablet etc. I'm using a tether on my phone to post this so the service is fine, something is up with the PC.At first I couldn't even see a wifi option in the notification area. I checked the WLAN AutoConfig service was set to start automatically. It was NOT. After setting this to auto and restarting this I was able to see Wifi in the notification area unlike before and can see the 'no available wifi networks message there'.Things I have tried: - A

Wifi network not appearing after recent Win 10 monthly patch

Someone else on another forum suggested I switch the wifi freq on my Android Nexus 5x. So I switched it from 5ghz to 2.4 and it worked! Problem solved. Now my Nexus hotspot is again appearing in my Win 10 list of available wifi networks. So problem was with Android and not Windows.

Method 2: Make sure your router is set to broadcast the network name.
