  1. Windows 10 not able to upgrade past 1709

I need help with a PC that I cant get to upgrade passed 1709 (16299.1239) .
Its windows 10 Pro x64 with 8BG of RAM and Intel i3-6100 3.7Ghz
It is on a domain, but I am the domain admin and have local users that admins as well. Tried on multiple ways to fix this but the windows will not go to any higher. This computer is in a different state then me so I cant reinstall Windows on it or boot to repair mode. It does run off a wsus server but have had it check outside of wsus already as well.

I have already tried removing it from the domain and running updates as well.

There is no way I can reimage it, so I need to fix it.

I have ran the Windows update Troubleshooter and it comes up with "Potential Windows Update Database error detectedPotential Windows Update Database error detected
Possible issues may prevent Windows Update from keeping your system up to date. Not fixed Not Fixed
Repair Windows Update Database Corruption "

I have also done the stopping the update service, bits, crytpsvc, msiserver and renaming catroot2 and softwaredistribtuion and it didn't work.

I went the windows update catalog and searched for "windows 10 x64 1709" and downloaded EVERY single update and ran it. This did not fix the issue.

Tried to run the media creation tool. Got this error. "This PC can't be upgraded to Windows 10.
Your PC settings aren't supported yet on this version of Windows 10. Windows Update will automatically offer you this version of Windows 10 when these settings are supported." And when I clicked Learn More it took me to this site "https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4592802/error-when-accessing-the-sign-in-options-or-users-mmc-snap-in"

I have ran the sfc /scannow and it fails out. CBS.log is attached.
    I have ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /checkHealth, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /scanHealth, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth They fail out as well.
    "C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /restoreHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.16299.15

    Image Version: 10.0.16299.1239

    [===========================82.6%=============== ]
    Error: 0x800f0954

DISM failed. No operation was performed.
For more information, review the log file.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log"

dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup actually did complete successfully though.

I have also created an image from the media creation tool exported the ISO the C drive and put the install.wim on the root of C and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:C:\Install.wim:1 /LimitAccess and it failed out as well.

This is on the DISM log where it starts to error out. I just don't know how to read the log file to figure out what is broke.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

Windows 10 not able to upgrade past 1709

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

i've seen this when the stock USB drivers went kaput. Only ever seen it once - i used a PCI USB 2.0 card and connected the mouse and keyboard to that, and manually updated the USB 2/USB 3 drivers.
