Windows 10 not detecting hardware any longer

    Hi,

I am having a lot of issues that started on 12/21/2020 where I lost internet connection and programs were randomly deleted from my computer. Appears this is an ongoing issue with Windows 10 from the other forum posts. I however, have tried the run commands and reconnection commands and also reinstalled Windows 10 today twice to fix any corruption issues and the problem still persists. Windows 10 out of nowhere no longer recognizes any of my hardware in my computer, and I mean everything. It will not detect my motherboard, graphics card, second monitor, network card on the motherboard, and will randomly freeze for about 10 seconds off and on. I have also tried to update, but it will not even stay connected long enough to the internet to even search for updates error 0x80240439. Windows 10 will not even let me install drivers cannot detect hardware error. I have gone through the forums to help individually correct these issues, but the solutions are not helping.

I hope you have further guidance. Here are my specs Hardware is only about 3 years old

    Asus Z170-A Motherboard

    Nvidia Geforce GTX1070

    32 Ram

    Samsung 250 GB SSD

    1TB Western Hard Drive

    Windows 10 Home Edition 64bit

I think the core issue is that it will no longer detect drivers. Please guide me towards what I need to do. Thank you.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 no longer DETECTs the second display.

Windows 10 no longer DETECTs the second monitor on my surface pro.

It used to detect the Dell S2440L, but I moved locations and set the second monitor up again after it being disconnected for -1- month.

It no longer detects the second monitor. Also, the driver is not listed in Device Manager/Drivers list.

  3. Windows phone is not detecting

    Hi Vijay,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to connect the phone to another computer and check if it gets detected. Also, check if the phone gets detected by connecting with a different USB cable.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

    • Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
    • Click on “hardware and devices”.
    • A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and follow the on-screen prompts for troubleshooting.

Hope the information is helpful. Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

Windows 10 not detecting hardware any longer

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
