Windows 10: windows 10 not generating passcode for bluetooth keyboard

There was previously the same question at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/windows-10-not-generating-passcode-for-bluetooth/008e664f-07df-4e81-9f27-e1f6e76157f8?page=12 but it would seem to be closed.


This thread was 12 pages long and not any of any of the replays on any of the 12 pages have worked. I have also exhausted google searching for a as solution and am at whits end. Currently, at this point I see to to buy another blue tooth keyboard even thought I can successfully pair this one to other windows PCs and Mac that I have.


Initially I was given a pass code but, the window for it vanished. No problem I thought, I just do it a again. Windows however seems to NEVER, EVER forget it once gave me a paring key. No mater what I try, I can not get Windows to generate a new pass code. I even searched the entire registry trying to remove the device I am trying to add a macally blue tooth keyboard which I know still works.


If anyone has any useful info on how to delete a Bluetooth device that it remembers, please tell me. When opening the add Bluetooth device widows remembers, but, the it does not allow its removal here. It does not show up in device and printers and devices. I do windows support as living and can not understand why I can not find a solution to what should be simple problem to fix.

2 years after posting this, I haven't had an issue with bluetooth pairing since, until an update released last month. I don't have the KB # and I won't waste time looking for it but it was an update that seemingly disabled my wifi adapter. I thought it strange
that my wireless network was disconnected on it's own one morning when I turned on my laptop. I soon found coworkers at our other branches across the state had the same issue. The fix was to just reconnect to your wifi network!

What I didn't know is that this update broke the bluetooth keyboard again. I took my laptop home and needed to use my bluetooth keyboard. Turned on laptop and keyboard but no inputs were registered. Window's showed it still paired so what the heck? I removed
the keyboard and tried to pair it again but it was not detected. I turned the bluetooth selector to "off" then back on and it still wasn't detected. I closed down the windows settings box and tried from the icon in the taskbar but it just took me back to the
window's setting panel. What was strange was it showed bluetooth was off even though I turned it back on previously. So I switched it back on, closed the setting panel, opened the setting panel and it was off again! Long story short, I rebooted the laptop,
turned the bluetooth selector on, then I was able to pair with a passcode that was generated by windows.

To the above poster, you might want to try fiddling with the bluetooth "on/off" selector and rebooting. These issues are random but definitely connected to updates that affect bluetooth chipsets.

 

808 / Logitech K810 bluetooth keyboard

My 808 recognizes the Logitech K810 as a bluetooth keyboard, I can pair using the 808 generated passcode, but then I get "Unable to create Bluetooth connection". The K810 remains listed as a keyboard paired device. Same results with a FP1 701.



Suggestions? Has anyone successfully used the K810 with a Belle device?



I've paired and used the same keyboard with my PC and a Moto G.
