Windows 10: Windows 10 not Hibernating on Critical Battery Level

I am very annoyed by this microsoft. I have seen this question on these forums multiple times with never an answer from a microsoft staff member and the answers that were provided were useless meanwhile the thread had been locked as though "issue resolved" while a few hundred have selected "I have the same question".I have a brand new laptop computer where I have changed the settings in the advanced power options in windows so that:critical battery level = 35%action on critical battery level = HIBERNATE.Twice now I have had to leave my workstation for one reason or another and wasn't able to

Windows not hibernating when reaching critical battery level.

I have power settings which make computer go to hibernation on reaching critical battery level, and my critical battery level is set to 30% for on battery. Since yesterday, my PC won't go to hibernation on reaching 30%, instead there is a red crosshair which keeps blinking on the battery indicator at the bottom right(see image).Bdw, I am able to hibernate it manually.Any solutions?

 

Laptop no longer hibernates on critical power

Hi Mike,

The laptop's battery is possibly wearing out. Since you haven't change any settings, we suggest that you change the critical battery level a bit higher so that your laptop can perform a hibernation on a much higher percentage than the default. Follow the
steps below:

• Type Power Options on the Start menu search bar.
• Under Battery, click on Critical battery level.
• Chang the default percentage to 10% or higher.
• Click on Apply.

Critical Battery level malfunctions

Hi,

I am using Windows 10 Build 10586 for past few weeks. I need my laptop to be hibernate once the battery goes below 5% so I changed the critical battery level to 5%. But the thing is the laptop hibernates once the battery level goes below 10% independent
of what ever critical battery level is set. Note that I have been facing this problem from the date I purchased my laptop.

Kindly help me out with this.
