Windows 10: Windows 10 Not opening anything. I've tried all I can think of!

So I was trying to clean out an old computer to give to someone to upgrade from their old one, but nothing is working!


When I was clearing out all of my stuff, i reset the computer to wipe the last of my files and remove my info off of it, it reinstalled Windows 10 and seemed to work perfectly until i tried to open the start menu. There's no error code, it just doesn't respond. So i tried to open explorer and the window popped up, but before it could even load, it dissapeared.


Task manager opens and works. Ctrl+alt+del works. Opening in safe mode makes no difference. Troubleshooting scans dont find anything wrong. Typing into the powershell , which was someone elses suggestion, doesnt do anything but i might have typed something in wrong, I'm not super confident. Running "sfc /scannow", also another suggestion, only makes it to about 70% before the window closes itself.


I've reinstalled windows 3 times now, and restarted countless time.


Please help! I'm losing my mind!

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

i ve tried everything:with atiflash from dos,winflash.step by step with bios powercolor hd 6970 from the database.
nothing,doesn´t work.any suggestion????

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
