Windows 10: Windows 10 not recognising proper Keyboard inputs virtual or physical

Good day,The laptop in question has been in service since 2014, changed the keyboard in 2018 due to some hardware issue. So I have encountered keyboard issues before.This one however baffles me completely. Windows 10 won't validate keyboard inputs from the On-Screen Keyboard can't type anything in browsers and the only responsive keys have been the windows key both virtual and physical and the "F" key which seems to act as a "right-click" opening the cursor menu on whichever dialogue box is selected, again for both the OSK and the physical keyboard.I have update the Drivers, the OS and I h

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

 

Virtual Keyboard does not produce input

My physical keyboard is not producing input in Windows 10, so I used my mouse to click through and pull up the virtual keyboard. I tried inputting into Word, Cortana, and settings, but no text appears.

I am trying to connect to the internet, and not only can I not produce keyboard input, but whenever I click from the Password box to the virtual keyboard, the connection settings close. Is there no other place in Settings to open the Networks and WiFi available? Did nobody see this as an issue? I can't acccess our WiFi and password input from the Connection Settings in the Settings area - it just pops open the Network from the taskbar's bottom-right hand corner when I try to open it in Settings.

1.) How do I input from the Virtual Keyboard into the app? Clicking in the box and clicking the keys does not seem to work.

2.) How can I use Virtual Keyboard to connect to type my WiFi password?

 

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

i've seen this when the stock USB drivers went kaput. Only ever seen it once - i used a PCI USB 2.0 card and connected the mouse and keyboard to that, and manually updated the USB 2/USB 3 drivers.
