Windows 10 not recognizing my O365 email address under Other Users

To start, I have already worked with two different support agents through Microsoft Support and neither of them have been able to figure this out. I am currently waiting to hear back from a third agent, but their call back time is 356 minutes so I thought I'd post here as well. I have a new Dell laptop that I am setting up for one of our users. I completed the initial setup of the laptop has Windows 10 Pro by choosing 'Domain join instead' and created a local administrator account. Now that it is all set up, I attempted to log in our user through the Account settings under Other Us

    :)

  2. old email addresses

Thank you for updating me HA.111

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

Continue to have an escellent day HA.111

Problems syncing new user's SMTP address to O365

I have spent the last month working with Office 365 support, they now believe this is an issue with Active Directory itself.

Problem is when creating a new user account once everything syncs over to O365 the user's primary email address is showing as *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. We can manually edit these, but that is not a fix. User's have been propagating properly for several years without
    any problems.

We tried to create multiple test accounts using "@domain.com" & "@otherdomain.com" domain and found that there is an issue while creating accounts with "@domain.com" domain. Accounts show up as ending with "@domain.onmicrosoft.com". Accounts created ending
in "@otherdomain.com" are generating properly, locally when getting the output of ldifde and in the O365 portal. Accounts created in "@domain.com" are showing as having a SMTP:*** Email address is removed for privacy *** and smtp:*** Email address is removed for privacy ***, even with editing the attributes in AD properly
by adding SMTP:*** Email address is removed for privacy *** to the Proxy Address.

This would appear to be an issue that started a few months ago, no known changes have happened on location. Our server is running Server 2012 R2 Standard and syncs to O365 using Azure Active Directory Sync Service.

The UserPrincipalName and ProxyAddresses are showing up properly in GUI but after getting the output of ldifde we are getting random characters instead. We tried another Admin account in AD and we are able to re-produce the issue. Office 365 support seems
to believe it to be an issue with AD at this point.

I would be grateful for any assistance the community may be able to give in regards to this issue.

Windows 10 not recognizing my O365 email address under Other Users

different user accounts, only one email address?

Hi Geoff, welcome to the Ten Forums.

In Windows 10 it is not possible to use the same MS account for more than one user account on the same computer. If User-A signs in with an MS account User-A@AnyEmail.com, that MS account (email address) cannot be used to sign in any other user than User-A. User-B needs to use either a different MS account or a local account. However, you can use the same MS account on multiple computers.

There's no way to work around this restriction.

In your case I would simply install Windows 10 on both computers with a local admin account, then create an additional standard user account as an MS account on both computers using the same email address. If any of the two computers requires the gaming account, too, as you explained I would make this account a local account.
