Windows 10: Windows 10 not requiring password upon PC waking

I'm recently having a strange issue with my PC. When it sleeps, upon waking, the PC does not request a password. I then go into account settings and change the sign- in option from "Never" to "When PC wakes up from sleep". The PC will then require a password upon waking. However, eventually the PC will go back to not requesting a password upon waking. This setting will reset itself to the "Never" option on random occasions. I'm the only user. What in the world is the actual deal here? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Password reqired upon waking in Windows 10

I am running Windows 10. After sleep, it is requiring a password upon waking up.

I have gone to my settings and selected NEVER but nothing changes.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

 

Is it no longer possible to kill password requirement upon wake?


I have followed the awesome tutorials here to kill the Windows 10 Home lock screen and log me in (local account with a password) automatically upon boot... but no matter what I do, I cannot kill the password requirement upon wake. If my display goes to sleep, I am always asked for a password. As far as I know, I have already tried every possible solution here that applies to Windows 10 Home. I need to use the display sleep functionality because at night my tablet, even on the lowest brightness, is like a flashlight.

Accounts Sign-in options shows "Never" for "...when should Windows require you to sign in again?"

Is Microsoft just screwing with people?! I would run Remix on this particular tablet, but it seems to do weird things with apps that had been running before the screen sleep. Things work great on Windows 10 Home except for this maddening sign-in screen... after the display goes to sleep after 1 minute, within seconds if I wake it up I am asked for my password.

Hopefully someone has been able to smash through this. Or maybe just smashed your Windows 10 Home tablet.

 

SLEEP SETTING STILL REQUIRING PASSWORD UPON WAKE UP

On method 1, steps 1 - 4 was previously done last week. After step 6 and hit the personalize button, I do not have a screen saver option at the bottom of my screen on Windows 10. All I have is: Background, Colors, Lock Screen, Themes, and Start. THAT'S
IT.

On method 2, did it twice, shut down the computer twice. NOTHING. Computer is still asking for a password upon wake up.

Still need help with this problem!!!!
