Windows 10: Windows 10 NOT Saving Cursor Speed Settings. FRUSTRATING.

The default win 10 cursor speed is 6, I want mine to be 7. When I change the speed to 7 windows 10 resets back to 6 in a matter of seconds. Literally clicking out of the menu and back in I see windows immediately changes the setting back to 6. This is incredibly frustrating because the difference is small and sometimes unnoticeable. This is hurting my muscle memory in not just video games, but general PC use.

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.

 

Change the cursor speed for Precision touchpad

I understand that you want to set the cursor speed value more than 20. The valid range of values for the registry key that you want are trying to change is 0 to 20, with a default value of 10.



Note: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow
these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

However, to increase the cursor speed you can change the mouse settings in Control Panel. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type control and click on
   OK.
   
3. Select Large icons from the drop down for
   View by.
   
4. Click on Mouse.
   
5. Navigate to Pointer options tab and under
   Motion, move the slider towards right to change the cursor speed.
   
6. Click on Apply and OK.
