Windows 10: Windows 10 Notification pop ups Changing Locations

I've seen several posts related but has Microsoft yet address the ability to adjust "toast" pop up location?I get so many emails and notices that often I'm just trying to click on say my Wifi or VPN etc in the system tray and as soon as I'm about to click a notice pops up and I inadvertently launch that instead. Sometimes this can happen several times in a row. I'd just like to move it up by about an inch or so so it's not in the same place as other system tray items. The suggested Regedit hack doesn't seem to work.

annoying desktop pop ups

Hi Sheena,

Pop ups can be distracting for some, and depending on your reference, you can disable the desktop pop ups by following these steps:

• Click Start or the Windows logo and go to Settings (gear icon).
• Go to System and choose Notification & actions.
• Under Notifications, turn off Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows or whatever you want to turn off.
• Close the window and it will automatically save the changes.

That's very interesting. Not a great surprise that these things behave differently in North America.

Were you still suggesting this unloaded blank window is location related and nothing to do with the cookie consent nag?


I rarely use Google for searching, I like some amount of online privacy and there are many alternatives. *Smile

I checked my default permissions for google.com, considering the potential for location nag.








I then blocked the location, not expecting that would be any different from 'ask', but had to check anyway. *Smile







I'm still happy to report, no nag windows.
