Windows 10: Windows 10 notification: "You're not receiving security updates"

Just got this message, 'Windows 10 notification: "You're not receiving security updates"'. Hmm. Actually windows just forced updates on me this week. I had Windows Pro, machine went south, re-installed Windows, never bothered to try to get Pro re-instated, just live w/ the constant updates. Now this. Interesting that every time Windows "gets better" something screws up.Any clues what this is about?

Windows 10 Update

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Hi Kent,

One possible cause why you're unable to receive notification is due to wrong configuration settings. To assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

• Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
• Are you able to receive notification before?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Go to Control Panel and select Security and Maintenance.
  
• Choose Change Security and Maintenance settings.
• Put a check on the check box.
• Click OK.

This will allow you to disable/enable specific types of messages, including messages about Windows Update, Internet security settings, User Account Control, Windows Backup, and more.

Installing Windows 7 on Coffee Lake

Just simply follow this guide. I install Windows 7 on 8700K several times for benching purpose / play some old games that don't work well with Windows 10. However you will not receive the lastest update from Microsoft and you will be annoy with processor not compatible notification *Laugh :laugh:. I suggest download and installing updates as many as you can and once you receive notification then just turn off the update. Good luck.
