Windows 10: Windows 10 Notifications stop working.

I use windows 10 notifications for discord, so when I get a message or ping it shows up on my monitor. This works most the time but not always. After a reboot I notice I have to go into task manager and restart Windows Explorer or sometimes go into Notification settings and turn them off then back on for it to work. Sometimes at random it'll again stop working without any reboot and I'll have to again restart Windows Explorer or go into the settings and change them to off then on. The issues is they stop working for some reason and I'm trying to figure out why. Any help would be very much appreciated.

To stop action center notifications, I suggest you to follow the steps given below:

  Type settings in search bar and hit
  enter.
  
• 
  Go to system.
  
• 
  Select notifications and actions.
  
• 
  Click on turn system icons on or off.
  
• 
  Turn off action center.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

Cannot get notifications to work

Hello,

Awhile back notifications suddenly stopped working, I can't remember if it was after an update.

Under Settings > System > Notification & actions. I have "Get notification from apps and other senders" enabled and have toggled the switch to on under the app list. Still nothing.

Bit of googling founda suggestion to run the SFC, while it did find and repair files, notifications still do not work.

Any ideas?
