Windows 10: Windows 10 : Now asking for PIN ; not accepting Password

I have one Admin and one User set up. All of a sudden, in the past hour, I am now prompted for a PIN and denied access via correct passwords.I have found my solution. On the lock screen, just below the password field, I selected Sign-In options these may already be visible. I Chose Microsoft Account Password and entered my usual password - works perfectly now without moving to the Create PIN page. It now accepts my Admin or User passwords as usual with no difficulty.Note : I do not have to repeat this process with each sign-in. I no longer get the Create PIN screen.

Windows 10 will not accept PIN or Password

Windows 10 will not accept PIN or Password. As I key the PIN into the PIN area it stays blank, no characters appear. When I ask for a new Password it won't allow me to key in the email code to get the new Password. Any advice?

 

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

 

Windows Asks for PIN but Wants Password

I use Windows 10. I have set up both a PIN and a Windows password. I rarely need either since I normally sign onto my computer using the fingerprint reader. However, once in a while the fingerprint reader doesn't work, and Windows asks for my PIN. Lately,
I have entered my PIN (which I know is correct) but Windows says it's wrong. It does accept my password. Why is Windows asking for a PIN if it wants a password? How do I correct this?
