Windows 10: Windows 10 Oct update

I have updated my laptop with the 1809 Oct update and after 10 days laptop became useless. First it became slow, I found difficulties playing 1080 videos, then one day I left my laptop on sleep mode and it drained all the juice. I put on the charger and woke it up but it didn't showed up. It started looping in BSOD. After many tries I finally got into windows and tried to make a recovery drive but every time it showed error and didn't happen. I had preinstalled Windows and now I have nothing. I have tried to reset the windows in the troubleshoot mode, tried to uninstall the updates from the troubleshoot mode, tried to dskchk error happened. Nothing is working right now. The only way I can see is to do a system drive format and install a fresh windows. Should I do this? Is there any chance to recover the data I had there? If I format the drive and install a fresh windows do I have to activate it?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
