  1. Windows 10 October 4th update killed my HDD

I have an ASUS Q524UQ 2-in-1 laptop, that updated before the warning went out to not update. After the update, my computer began to hang, run slow, or just not run at all. Origin would not load, Diablo III had frequent errors, and even surfing the web became tedious. I tried to do a factory reset of the computer, which took nearly 24 hours to complete. The update removed all my restore points. Once the reset was done, I began to reinstall my software, which took most of the second day. After that time, the computer began to have frequent BSOD errors, and eventually the HDD failed completely. The laptop would stay on the ASUS splash screen, without any spinning Windows 10 dots, then dump me into the bios, where no HDDs were detected. Previous to the update, the laptop worked well. I believe that your October 4th update ruined the HDD. I am curious what exactly Microsoft intends to do to fix this issue with my laptop. Because this model is a sealed unit I ended up going out and replacing the laptop. I would like to know where I can send the bill for reimbursement of costs involved due to damage my computer suffered because of your broken update.

    :)

New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    Heres a couple examples:

    Here

    Here

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
