Windows 10: Windows 10 October Update external monitor not detected

Just updated Windows 10 today and now my external monitor is not detected


Any way to fix this. I had this issue on a prior update and fixed it by returning to the prior version of Windows 10.

External Monitor not detected

I am running windows 10 on a MacBook Pro using bootcamp. I use a imac as an external monitor. Windows cannot "detect" the monitor. using a firewire connection, which works splendidly under OS. Any suggestions?

 

Windows 10 update - problem detecting external monitor

I have a Surface Pro which connects to my home desktop setup via a Plugable USB 3.0 docking station. After updating to Windows 10, my Acer external monitor is no longer being detected. When connected to the docking station I can use the connected external
keyboard, mouse, and all connected hard drives. It is just the Acer external monitor that is not being detected. Please help with a fix or I will be greatly disappointed with the Windows 10 update.

Please answer these questions to assist you better.

• What is the make and model of your computer and external monitor?
• Have you installed all pending Windows and driver updates?
• Do you get any error message?

I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates in your PC and also update Display drivers. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: I would suggest you to check and install any latest Windows Updates available.

• Go to Start and then Settings.
• Click on Update and Recovery.
• Check for updates under
  Windows Updates.
• Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.
