Windows 10: Windows 10, Office 2013 and Edge startup problems

I use a legit copy of Office 2013, and it's been working perfectly. I also have up to date Windows 10 and Edge. In the past week I have had intermittent but fairly frequent problems going into Outlook, Word and Excel. They just hang right away, on the splash screen. Edge also doesn't start, just get a white screen which closes after some seconds.I've focussed on fixing Outlook as the online support seemed better for that. So, in no particular order, I've -Re-installed Office 2013, both quick and fullRun scanpst.exe on all my email data filesI went to change my profile but decided against as I

Your problem isn't with Office 2013 or really is it with Windows 10 for that matter.

I had the same problem. It's a permissions 'glitch' - for me it was resolved by:

• Creating a local account (same user) on Windows 10
• Log out of current account
• Login into the local account you created (wait - it might take a bit)
• Check that Office works. It should.
• Sign out.
• Log back into your Windows 10 account with your Microsoft credentials

• Office 2013/Office 365
• Office 2010
• Office 2007

Older versions of Office such as Office 2003 and Office XP are not certified compatible with Windows 10 but might work using compatibility mode.

Do you have the installation media and product key for the Office 2013.

Incase you are unable to find the office 2013 listed under program features in Window 10, then you would need to re-install it.
