Windows 10: Windows 10 on laptop

My computer, laptop windows 10. Just finished an automatic software update. On startup it now displays the following message "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill he messaging request. Please run Microsoft outlook and set it as the default mail client". It is already set as the default mail client. I set it again and restarted, but the same message. What do I do now? Need your input/help, please. Thanks.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
