Windows 10: Windows 10, OneNote and Phone Link issues

OneNote for Windows 10, compatibility issues

It sounds like you're facing multiple issues with your OneNote app. Let's go ahead and discuss each of these below. Allow me to ask you the following questions for now.

1. Can you please confirm what's the version and build of your OneNote? Provide a screenshot if possible.

• To check, open OneNote> File > Account> Take a screenshot under Product Information.
  

2. Can you provide the version and edition of your Windows?

• Press Windows key + R, type winver then press enter.
  

3. Are all your notes still synced on your other PC?
4. Can you check in OneDrive.com to see if all your notebooks are synced to the cloud?

• OneNote uses OneDrive cloud to sync all notes across your devices so it's a good idea to check it in OneDrive as well.
  

Here are some steps we can do based on your initial description.

1st issue:

1. OneNote for Windows 10 is actually not available for Windows 11 already. Can you please clarify this part if you are indeed using OneNote for Windows 10 on Windows 11 environment, or is it OneNote from Office?
   
2. Can you please share a screenshot of this to make sure we won't misinterpret this part?
   

2nd issue:

1. Try to perform a Quick Repair of your Office by following the steps provided in this article: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support
   

3rd issue:

1. Sign in to OneNote.com and confirm if all the 17 notebooks are present in the server. If the notebooks are complete in OneNote.com, it should sync across your devices.
   
2. Sign out and sign back from OneNote, restart your PC, and sign back in to OneNote to see if it helps.
   
3. Sync notebook manually. Open OneNote app> Info > View Sync Status under Notebook information> Select "Sync automatically whenever there are changes" > Sync all. Wait for the notes to finish.
   

4. Clear OneNote Cache: You will need to view hidden items first under "View" tab> Show> Hidden items to be able to see AppData folder. Then proceed to the following path.

• C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\16.0
  

you'll find a cache folder. Delete it after closing OneNote.

5. Reinstall OneNote. If the issue still persists, uninstall your OneNote, restart your PC, and install it again. Sign back in to OneNote and check if it helps.

WP7 Onenote Mobile Sync Issue

Hi,

You can follow the steps below to open any OneNote notebooks from SkyDrive

• Launch IE on phone
• Make sure "Mobile Version" is checked in the setting of IE on Phone
• Browse Login | Microsoft 365
• Browse to the place where OneNote notebook is present
• Tap on the notebook to open the notebook in OneNote Mobile

Once the notebook is opened in OneNote mobile successfully, you can view and edit the section from them.
