Windows 10: Windows 10 only allowing login with Hello or Pin ---- I only have password

After this recent Windows 10 update, the login screen is requiring a PIN. Hello isn't working as I note the camera is not coming on. It's my mom's computer and she doesn't remember her pin. Is t possible to get the login to revert to a password?


I know I had once set up myself as a user on her machine, but the login screen is not giving the ability to sign in with a different user account.


In my attempts to help, and clicking Forgot Pin, this requires entry of a 4-digit phone number to receive a text. I noted that the phone number associated with her security settings was a number that no longer exists. I requested the change and now her account is locked for 30 days.


What are my choices to get her back on her computer? Clean install? I need something that will override having to enter a bit-locker recovery key.

When I select to Reset the PC and save nothing, it's requiring a Recovery Key ID. The recovery key information is in her security settings, which is locked for 30 days. I could care less about any info on the PC.

Login with PIN and Hello

• Click the Add button for the PIN and set your PIN.
• Do the same for the Windows Hello.

FingerPrint - Without Windows Hello PIN

As per your query, I like to inform you that; we cannot set the finger print Logon without setting the Windows hello pin. Windows hello pin will work as an alternative option to login to your computer through finger print Logon. Windows hello
pin will help you to login to your computer if you are unable to login to your computer through finger print authentication.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to enable finger print logon.

• 
  Press Windows key + r and type
  gpedit.msc and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Select Administrative Templates under
  Computer Configuration.
  
• 
  Select Windows Components.
  
• 
  Select Biometrics.
  

In Biometrics > consider that for a home system, you might enable the following:

1) Allow the use of biometrics

2) Allow users to log on using biometrics

Microsoft Account PIN and password

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.
