Windows 10: Windows 10 only goes into power saving mode when a program is running in full screen mode.

My PC is running in balanced mode with the screen power saving mode set to 2 minutes. It has been working fine. Now it will not work if my PC is sat at the desktop with either no programs running or program windows active on the desktop but not in full screen.If I set the program on the desktop to be full screen, for instance a browser or image editing software then IT WILL go into screen saver mode after 2 minutes every time. Take the program out of full screen mode and the PC no longer goes into power save. Change back to full screen mode in any program and it will once again go into p

In Windows 11 power-saving mode, clicking the Windows Focus prompt on the lock screen will cause a system crash.

Problem description: As the title suggests.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Enter Windows 11 power-saving mode.
   
2. Click the Windows Focus prompt on the lock screen.
   

Expected result: The login screen should appear and after logging in, the browser should automatically open to view content.

Actual result: The system crashes.

Device information:

• Windows 11 version: 22H2 (22621.1413)
  
• Device: Lenovo Xiaoxin 14 Pro 2021
  
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
  

Other information:

• When plugged in, the system automatically turns off power-saving mode and cannot be turned on manually. The function works normally.
  
• When unplugged, turn off power-saving mode and the function works normally.
  
• When unplugged, turn on power-saving mode and the system crashes.
  

 

Problem with the power saving mode

Hello,

I've had a problem with power conservation for a few weeks now. Normally my procedure is the following:

1. Putting the PC into power saving mode
2. Switch off the connector strip to which the PC is connected
3. Next time switch on the power strip and start the PC

Windows Version: 2004, Build: 19041.264

Before that, all the programs I had open before power saving mode were open. Now I have the problem since a few weeks that the PC boots normally and all programs are closed. This is not so nice, because I always have relatively many programs open, so I always have to restart them, which takes some time.
Does anyone know by chance what this could be due to?

Dell LCD P2217 goes to Power saving mode question

I meant when 2nd screen goes off to power saving mode which is about after 3 minutes. So the applications which were opened on 2nd screen automatically move to first screen and it get all glitch.

I want to fix it when 2nd screen goes off to power saving mode those applications which were opened will stay remain on 2nd screen. Got my point ?
