Windows 10: Windows 10 "Optimize" option doesnt work no matter what i do.

To turn off auto defrag on my SSD i tried the Optimize option from "my PC" AND from search.

Whenever i click the option, nothing happens. I have seen videos on youtube when a pop up comes with settings. That doesnt happen no matter what.

Help?

Disk optimization scheduling in Windows 10

  In search select Defragment and optimize drives
  
• 
  Click on change settings
  
• 
  In optimization schedule
  
• 
  In frequency select the options accordingly.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Optimize Drives doesnt work

If Optimize drives doesn't work, as first thing, check your file system:

1. Type "cmd" in windows search bar

2. Right click on "Command Prompt"

3. Select "Run as Administrator"

4. Type "sfc /scannow" without quote and press ENTER

Let me know the result.

Also, can you tell me if you are blocked on a step of this list, when you try to optimize your drives?

4. Click on "Proprieties"
