  1. Windows 10 Partition

    Hello

I have important question about Windows 10 Home Edition. I will buy in some time a new computer and it seem the same process like in the past years.
The Windows Setup Files (OEM) are on one partition of the hard disk to install Windows from there. But as I always have had two hard disks witch ones
with multiple partitions it is impossible for me to keep any "Original Install Setup" like Windows or Autodesk or any other programs "ON" partitions
I will delete to "repartition" and "reformat" my hard disks. Therefore I prefer buy my "OWN" Windows 10 Home CD (not OEM) to be able to make a fresh
install from "reader or CD drive". For some reasons I don't have all the year "Internet with ISP".

    Question 1:
Could you say me if I install my "NEW Windows 10" from the Microsoft CD, I will need an Internet connection to active it?

    Question 2:
But if connection is necessary, once activate by internet is it possible to save like in Windows XP the registration files
to restore them after future install to be avoid to always connect to internet to activate Windows.
I must say you that "ALL" hardware will be the same as the main software too like "MS Office".
As nothing will change on computer could I restore activation files or key without Internet?

    Question 3:
Could it be possible to Install Windows 10 on the first and bootable partition mounted in "ExFAT"
Or could it be better to have the first partition C: in "FAT32" and all other in "EXFAT"?

    Question 4:
With Windows 10 Home could it be possible to connect to my old computer to transfer all my years
of works to the new computer like with RJ45 cable because I think USB will be very too hard and
too long. Because my old hard disks are fast IDE and I don't think be able to install them
temporary in the new computer to transfer to new hard disks.

Thank you very much for any help,

    W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

    - press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
    - diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
    - list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
    - select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
    - clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
    - create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
    - exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
    - click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
