    Windows 10 password / Microsoft password


    I understand that it's possible for my Windows local account password to be different from my Microsoft account password, but I'm not using a local account. I set up Windows with my Microsoft account. When I tried to change my Windows password, the link brought me to my browser where I changed my Microsoft account password. Now Windows rejects both my old Microsoft account password and my new one. What kind of **** is this? You basically FORCED me to use my Microsoft account to set up Windows even though I don't use most of the invasive features for which you say it's necessary. I figured at t

    Forgot Windows 10 password...

    If it's a Microsoft account, you should be able to change the password via another computer at live.com and the password should also change to match on the computer (obviously make sure it has internet access first). The password is verified online during login.
