Windows 10: Windows 10 pc cant connect to specific wifi networks

I've been trying to connect to my home wifi for a while, and have tried various things to attempt to fix it. After I for reasons blocked and later unblocked my device from my home network, my pc hasnt been able to connect to the network since. All i've been able to use is my phones very slow hotspot. i can connect to this network on other devices, and can still connect to other networks on my pc I am not at all well versed in this matter and am desperate for a solution of any kind.

hide specific Network connection adapter from Network list

Hi Mr @Brink ,

Is there a way to hide specific "Network connection adapter" from the "Network" list in system tray (network icon list)?
I have 3 network adapters, Ethernet,WiFi and Microsoft KM-Test Loopback adapter (name as KeyShot). Whenever I disable Ethernet and WiFi adapter, KeyShot adapter appears as an Unidentified network (SS below). I know I can hide it by disable the adapter, but I don't want to disable it because Keyshot app needs that network adapter to work on Win OS.







I want the network list be shown as SS below (I want to hide just KeyShot adapter from the list):




OS: Win 10 Enterprise x64, v2004 (B19041.423)

 

Cannot connect to wifi network from windows 10 PC

I recently purchased a wifi card for my windows 10 PC (upgraded from windows 7 a while ago). I have installed a driver from TP-Link's website that claims compatibility with windows 10, and can see my network in the list of available networks. When trying
to connect, it asks for the network key, then says that it can't connect to the network.

Network troubleshooter suggested connecting to a network (even though the issue is that I am unable to connect).

I created a wlan report (downloadable from dropbox) which is suggesting that the network is unavailable, even though all my other devices (phone,
windows 10 laptop, xbox, wifi bridge, ds) can connect to this same network without issue.

Also tried reinstalling the driver, uninstalling the device and rebooting, letting windows find it's own driver and rebooting the router, still nothing.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

 

Assigning a default WiFi connection

Is there any specific way to force Windows to connect to a certain WiFi connection?

Since my PC keeps connecting to a commercial WiFi hotspot rather than to my home network when it boots.

Things I have tried:

• "Connect to suggested WiFi hotspots" has been turned off
• Home network has been set to "connect automatically" when connecting
  
• Hotspot networks have been "forgotten" in the WiFi settings

Is there anything else I can try to fix this problem?
